Samizdat [sah-miz-daht; Russ. suh-myiz-daht] –n. a system of clandestine printing and distribution of dissident or banned literature.

An Edinburgh-based collective of journalists and writers, offering insight and opinion into local and national goings-on.

Samizdat is run by:

Neal Wallace 

Preston-born, Edinburgh-based journalist who likes music, football, eating food and drinking drinks. Studied English Language at Edinburgh University, and an MA in journalism at Edinburgh Napier. He is on Twitter @nealjwallace

Fearghus Roulston 

Irish journalist and kitchen porter based in Edinburgh, likes the same things as Neal but reads more books. Did a history degree at Trinity College, Dublin, and MA Journalism at Edinburgh Napier. Fearghus does not do Twitter. Not yet.
